专利说明:

The present invention relates to devices for performing a treatment, especially cosmetic or dermatological keratin materials, including the skin, scalp, or hair. By "cosmetic or dermatological composition" is meant any composition as defined in Council Directive 93/35 / EEC of 14 June 1993. The invention relates in particular to treatment devices, in particular cosmetic or dermatological, keratin materials to using an electric current.
It is known that the application of an electric current on the skin can promote the penetration of an asset. It is thus known to treat human keratin materials using iontophoresis devices. Iontophoresis allows the diffusion of actives through the skin through electrical stimulation in a non-invasive way. The current administered can be adjustable in intensity and in polarity (anodic or cathodic current). Transcutaneous diffusion of molecules via iontophoresis is based on the two principles of electrorepulsion and electro-osmosis. Electrorepulsion is the migration of an ionized molecule by repulsion of charges of the same sign. Thus, a positively charged substance will diffuse through the skin at the (+) anode. Electroosmosis is the migration of a molecule, even if not ionized, by driving linked to the flow of water from the anode to the cathode during iontophoresis. Under the effect of a current, the water or a solvent causes, during the migration, the dissolved substances.
US Patent 5,090,402 relates to an electric current applicator also having a massaging function, comprising a plurality of balls, all the balls immersed in the composition reservoir which extends under a support of the balls.
US Patent 5 131 384 relates to a massaging applicator comprising a plurality of balls, including a central ball fed directly product. This massaging applicator is devoid of a system for applying an electric current.
In the application US 2005/0107832, the applicator comprises an array of electrodes.
There is a need to further refine devices that promote the penetration of active ingredients through the skin to increase the effectiveness of iontophoresis.
In particular, there is a need for a treatment device, in particular a cosmetic or dermatological device, for keratin materials, in particular using an electric current, which has good efficacy and can be used comfortably and safely. . The invention thus has, according to one of its aspects, a treatment device, in particular a cosmetic or dermatological device, for human keratin materials, in particular using an electric current, comprising at least: a reservoir containing a composition P, in particular a cosmetic or dermatological composition, to be applied to keratin materials; a composition dispensing member contained in the reservoir, in particular a pump; a mouthpiece for applying the composition contained in the reservoir, comprising less an applicator member, in particular a plurality of application members, the applicator member being supplied with composition from the reservoir by the dispenser member, the composition passing through an intermediate storage chamber for the composition located in the nozzle, the intermediate chamber being at least partially defined by an elastically deformable wall.
The elastically deformable wall is movable under the pressure of the composition between a first position and a second position in which is formed the intermediate storage chamber for the composition.
By "human keratin materials" is meant mainly the skin, in particular the body or the face, or the scalp, the nails or the hair.
The treatment can in particular be carried out using an electric current.
The presence of the intermediate chamber allows the intermediate storage of a small amount of composition, which can smooth the distribution of the composition on the keratin materials, even if the distribution thereof by the dispensing member from of the reservoir is effected with jerks, which may especially be the case when the dispensing member is actuated manually, for example by means of a dispensing button, or automatically, for example by means of an engine jerkily. The dispenser member can thus be configured to deliver the composition in a jerky manner. The dispensing member can be manually operated. Alternatively, the dispenser member is actuated automatically, for example by means of an electric motor. The electric motor can be different from a stepper motor, which can be relatively expensive, which makes it possible to benefit from a less expensive device. The dispenser member may comprise at least one motor, in particular at least one reduced motor without servocontrol, for example a DC motor. Such a device can make it possible to supply the motor for a given period of time and not continuously. The dispensing member may in particular be devoid of a wheel with worm, or a stepper motor, or a reduction gear slave in rev counter.
The maximum volume of the intermediate chamber may be between 5 and 100 microliters (pL), better still between 10 and 50 pL, and even between 15 and 40 pL, for example being of the order of 20 pL. The elastically deformable membrane can be deformed to modify the volume of the intermediate chamber. This variation is necessary to absorb jolts of the dispensing member, for example the pump.
The device may be configured to allow a composition flow rate distributed on the keratin materials of between 0.5 and 20 μl / s, better still between 1 μl / s and 10 μl / s, for example being of the order of 2 to 4. pL / s. The device according to the invention thus advantageously makes it possible to distribute the composition with a very low flow rate, which can be advantageous in the case of an iontophoresis treatment.
The presence of the intermediate chamber improves the flow control at the output of the device, regardless of the nature of the dispensing member used. Preferably, the distribution of the composition at the outlet of the device is thus continuous and smooth, even if the distribution by the dispenser member can be done with jerks. The regularity of the delivery rate of the composition is important in an iontophoresis treatment because it ensures the efficiency and stability of the micro-current applied and therefore the user's comfort during the treatment. The use of the device according to the invention is particularly advantageous in the case of a variable viscosity composition over time during use of the device. Indeed, the presence of the intermediate chamber makes it possible to compensate for the variation in viscosity of the composition. The variation in viscosity may result from the long-term storage in the reservoir during the period of use of the amount of composition contained in the reservoir.
A height h of the intermediate chamber extends between the first position of the applicator member and its second position.
Intermediate room
The elastically deformable wall of the intermediate chamber may comprise an elastically deformable membrane. The elastically deformable membrane may be disk-shaped. It may comprise a supply channel of the composition in the intermediate chamber. This channel can make it possible to drive the composition from the reservoir to the intermediate chamber. The tip may comprise a distributor defining the intermediate storage chamber for the composition. The distributor may comprise at least one supply port of the application member in composition, in particular several feed orifices for conducting the composition from the intermediate chamber to the application members, in particular between two and eight. These can be arranged for example in triangle or hexagon.
The size of the feed orifices can be calculated so that the elastically deformable wall deforms under the pressure of the composition.
In use, the composition may remain on the application member (s) until the composition comes into contact with the keratin materials, which can modify the surface tension of the composition. The surface tension of the composition can then exceed a threshold value, from which the composition can exit through the orifice (s).
The membrane deforms within the limits of the values necessary to overcome the surface tension of the supply ports.
The splitter can be configured so that the flow rate of the composition to the application members is identical to 20%, better 15%, even better to 10%, for at least two application members, better for each implementing body. The flow rate of the composition arriving at the application members is the flow rate of the composition leaving the supply orifice corresponding to the applicator member in question, to supply the housing of said applicator member. Two flow rates Di and D2 are compared in the following manner. Di being the smallest flow of the two, and D2 the largest flow of both, the following ratio is calculated: (D2-Di) / D2. Electrically conductive splitter
The splitter can be electrically conductive.
The material or materials of the distributor can be chosen from the following list, which is not limiting: acetal, polyester, ABS, polyamide, polycarbonate, PP, PE silicone, butyl, nitrile, viton, PBT, and combination of these materials. It may be in particular a plastic material, for example polycarbonate preferentially.
The tundish material can be rendered electrically conductive by inserting a charge into the polymer matrix, this charge being selectable from the following list, which is not limiting: metal, graphite, fibers or carbon powder.
In one embodiment, the distributor is formed in at least one thermoplastic material, which comprises an electrically conductive filler, for example a carbon filler or a metal filler. A carbon charge is preferred in order to ensure a certain lightness of the distributor.
In one embodiment, the application members are not electrically conductive.
The splitter can be electrically connected to a power supply system by a metal lug. The latter can make it possible to ensure the transfer of the electric current from the power supply system to the distributor. The splitter and the composition may be the only elements in the tip to be electrically conductive. In particular, the cover, the cover and / or the application members may not be electrically conductive. The only element in contact with the skin that is electrically conductive may be the composition.
Application body
The device may comprise several application members, in particular between two and eight, better between three and six, especially in the form of balls. The multiplicity of the application members promotes a good distribution of the composition, continuously, and improves the ionization of the composition during treatment, if any. The multiplicity of the application organs also makes it possible to improve the massage effect during the treatment.
At least one application member may be a ball, and better all the application members are balls.
As a variant, the applicator members may have any profile, in particular cylindrical, for example in the form of rolls, or non-cylindrical, for example an ovoid or discoid shape.
At least some of the application members may be organized in a polygon, in particular in a hexagon or in a triangle, and better all the application members are organized in a polygon, in particular in a hexagon or in a triangle. A triangle arrangement favors the application and treatment of hard to reach areas, for example the wings of the nose.
This configuration of the application members also promotes a good distribution of the composition over the entire application surface. This gives a better homogeneity of the treatment. It also improves the safety and comfort of a good distribution of electric current on the application surface, if any. The arrangement of the application members and their relatively high number allow simultaneous application over a fairly large area.
The application members may be of plastic or metal material.
The application members are preferably neither electrically conductive nor connected to the power supply circuit by metal conductors.
The outer surface of an applicator member may be completely chemically inert with respect to the applied composition and the keratin materials. The outer surface can be covered with a varnish. The outer surface can be polished. The outer surface may include a biocidal material, if appropriate.
The application members may be spherical or cylindrical, in the form of a roll for example, or have a different shape, in particular ovoid shape.
Advantageously, at least one application member, better each application member, rotates about at least one axis of rotation. In an exemplary implementation of the invention, the outer surface of the applicator member has a symmetry substantially of revolution about an axis of symmetry, the outer surface being rotatable about this axis of symmetry. Alternatively, the applicator member may be rotatable about an axis of rotation distinct from this axis of symmetry.
At least one applicator member may comprise a core on which an outer wall is attached. This can be the case for all the enforcement bodies. This core may comprise a surface provided with reliefs and the outer wall may be adapted to deform during application to come into contact with the reliefs. These allow to produce a massage effect when the applicator member is in contact with the surface to be treated, which can among other things facilitate the penetration of the composition into the skin and promote its action.
The outer wall may, alternatively, be rigid.
In an exemplary implementation of the invention, the outer wall comprises reliefs, which may comprise bosses or ribs.
Alternatively, at least one applicator member may comprise removable elements that give a relief to the applicator member. It is thus possible to change these elements in order to modify the dimensions of the application members, their surface properties, or their roughness.
Advantageously, at least one applicator member is removably mounted on the device. All the application members can be removably mounted on the device.
In an alternative embodiment, the applicator member takes the form of a tip for the hair, comprising for example a comb. H may comprise in particular at least one tooth, hollow or not.
The distributor may comprise a first face on which are positioned the application members, which may be flat, concave or convex. It is for example slightly convex. The distributor has a second face opposite to the first, which may be flat, concave or convex.
Power supply system
The device may comprise a power supply system for exposing the keratin materials to an electric treatment current in an application zone of the composition.
The term "electrical power system" means an electrical assembly capable of inducing a potential difference between one or more electrodes and at least one counter-electrode. If the tip is placed on the face and the counter-electrode is held in one hand, the potential difference is established between the face and the hand.
Electrodes
The electrical power supply system may comprise an electrode located away from the keratin materials and in contact with the composition, and a counter-electrode, preferably coming into contact with the keratin materials in an area not exposed to the composition.
According to the invention, the term "electrode" means a positively charged electrode (anode) or a negative electrode (cathode). This electrode may be disposed in the applicator tip, so as to ensure the passage of the electric current in the composition. The electrode is then placed inside the mouthpiece. In this case, it does not come into direct contact with the keratin materials, but with the composition itself. The composition may be the only conductive substance in contact with the skin during use of the device. The electrode may not be in contact with the keratin materials, in particular the skin, the tip having no electrically conductive material in contact with the skin.
Throughout the text, the term "electrode" means a single isolated electrode. An electrode may be for example in the form of a ball, pad, tongue. The device may comprise one or more electrodes.
The term "counter-electrode" means an electrode carried at a potential greater than the other electrode (cathode) or lower (anode). The sign of the polarity of the counter-electrode is opposite to that of the electrode. In general, it is arranged on the body of the device or on a handpiece. The counter electrode is intended to come into contact with a body area of the person undergoing the treatment. For example, it can be caught between the fingers of the person or between his palm and fingers. In one configuration, the counter electrode is disposed on the tip. In this event, it is separated from the electrode by an insulating space and at most away from the electrode to avoid any leakage current. The electrode may be housed inside the tip, the electrode being in particular spaced from the outer wall of the applicator member by a distance of between 0.2 mm and 5 mm. This distance represents the distance between the electrode and the outer surface of the applicator member. This distance is the shortest measurable distance between the electrode and the outer surface of the applicator member. It is measured between any point of the electrode and the outer surface of the applicator member, provided that the measured distance is the shortest distance.
Advantageously, the power supply system comprises a current generator adapted to control the intensity of the treatment current flowing between the electrode and the skin, which makes it possible to control the voltage U between the electrode and the counter-electrode. . The voltage U generated depends on the impedance of the "skin + composition" system. The voltage U is limited to a maximum value Umax deliverable by the current generator, for security reasons (about 100V for example). This Umax voltage may be less than 150V. The electrode may be flat, for example in the form of a flat disk or a polygon. The electrode may be hollow, being for example formed by stamping or bending an electrically conductive sheet. The electrode may be porous.
Electrical parameters
The power source may include any battery or accumulator. The voltage between the electrodes is for example between 1.2 V and 24 V, preferably between 1.2 and 3.3 V. Where appropriate, the passage of the current can create a punctual heating. At equivalent current density, the device may in particular deliver a current density, at the level of the skin, preferably less than or equal to 0.500 mA / cm 2, for example between 0.01 mA / cm 2 and 0.500 mA / cm 2, for example. example between 0.1 mA / cm 2 and 0.3 mA / cm 2.
Control system and alarm
The device may further comprise a control system sensitive to the impedance of the skin. The control system may be configured to perform a measurement giving information on the impedance of the skin. By "measurement" it is understood that the measured quantity is compared with a threshold value, for example if the measured quantity has exceeded or not the threshold value, or if the measured quantity is or is not in a given interval.
The device may further include an alarm providing the user with a signal in response to information from the impedance-sensitive control system of the skin. The alarm can thus help to warn the user that the measured impedance has exceeded a threshold value.
The signal supplied may in particular relate to the possible need to modify the current density between the electrodes and / or the quantity of composition to be distributed. This modification can be performed automatically by a servo system of the device, or manually by the user. The signal may for example prompt the user to dispense an additional dose of composition. The signal may alternatively or additionally invite the user to increase the current density.
The threshold value (s) of the alarm may be preprogrammed in the device, or may be set by the user, or depend on the composition tank introduced into the device, if the reservoir is recognized by the device and a corresponding threshold is automatically determined based on a tank identifier. If there is not enough composition between the electrode and the skin, the impedance is very important. The voltage U can become too important.
If the amount of composition between the electrode and the skin increases, the voltage U may decrease due to a decrease in the impedance there.
The device may comprise a device for adjusting the current density flowing between the electrodes, in particular a manually operable member, and / or an automatic device for regulating the current density. The current density (A / cm 2) can be regulated in order to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment and / or to limit the pain sensations. The regulation of the current density can be done manually by the user, the latter being able to modify the intensity of the current at will, or when the alarm signals the need for it, or automatically, thanks to a servo system current density.
The device may comprise a system for controlling the current density between the electrodes to the impedance measurement made by the control system. The alarm may comprise at least one indicator light, a buzzer, and a buzzer, the buzzer being preferably triggered when the impedance measured by the control system is located in a room. predefined impedance range.
In an alternative embodiment, the electric current between the electrodes is generated by a low frequency current generator. In an alternative embodiment, the electric current is not generated by a voltage generator.
The device may include an electronic timing system configured to control the amount of dispensed composition and / or the duration of the treatment.
Order organ
The device may comprise a composition distribution control member, in particular a push button (for example an ON / OFF button) or a rotary dial, and / or a device for regulating the composition flow rate. The controller is configured to be operated manually by the user. The controller may be configured to allow delivery of a dose of composition, or alternatively a continuous flow of the composition. In an exemplary embodiment, the composition distribution continues as long as the control member is engaged, for example as long as the pushbutton is depressed. The user can trigger the composition distribution when the amount of composition present is insufficient to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment. The regulation of the composition quantity can be carried out manually by the user, the latter being able to modify the quantity of composition dispensed at will, or when the alarm signals the need for it, or automatically, thanks to a servo system the amount of composition distributed to a measurement carried out on the keratin materials.
The device may comprise a system for controlling the amount of composition leaving the reservoir to the impedance measurement made by the control system. The enslavement of the composition distribution to the impedance of the skin makes it possible to ensure the presence of a sufficient quantity of cosmetic composition throughout the treatment. The amount of composition can be set automatically, depending on the measurement.
The device may comprise a switch for putting the device in automatic mode where the quantity of distributed composition is slaved to the impedance measured by the control system or semi-automatic mode where the alarm informs the user on the need for modify the amount of composition distributed. By "semi-automatic mode" is meant that the alarm can warn the user of the need to manually perform the composition distribution. By "automatic mode" it should be understood that the composition distribution is automatically switched on, as mentioned above, if necessary. In this case, the alarm may not work or alternatively function to signal to the user that the composition will be distributed. Tank The dispenser of the formula at the outlet of the tank may comprise a pump. Advantageously, the dispensing member comprises an air pump, for compressing the air between the walls of the reservoir and its housing in the device. The walls of the reservoir are preferably flexible and the walls of the housing are preferably rigid.
More preferably, the housing is airtight. The tank is compressed in a controlled manner by the air pump. This creates some pressure in the housing to regulate the flow of formula. A unidirectional valve at the end of the tank can preserve the formula of the air contact.
The reservoir may have a variable internal volume and comprise at least one elastically deformable wall to reduce the internal volume, in particular two walls that are elastically deformable facing one another.
The reservoir may be arranged to be removably mounted on the device so as to allow, when the reservoir is emptied, to replace it with another or to remove it to fill it, when the reservoir comprises a filling orifice.
Advantageously, the reservoir comprises an elastically deformable outer wall.
Advantageously, the reservoir is formed in one piece. It is preferably molded in one piece, in particular in the same thermoplastic material, for example LDPE, HDPE, a mixture of LDPE and HDPE, PP, or a mixture of PE and PP in any proportion. The thickness of the tank wall is for example between 0.1 and 1 mm and in the second zone between 0.3 and 0.8 mm.
Advantageously, the total internal volume of the reservoir is between 1 and 100 cm3, preferably between 20 and 50 cm3, in the rest configuration of the deformable zone. This volume is optimal for some uses or a repeated treatment extending over a few weeks.
Preferably, the internal volume of the reservoir can shrink with a volume of between 10% and 50% of the internal volume of said reservoir in the configuration of the deformable zone. This variation in volume has the advantage of being visible and measurable.
The tank can be manufactured by injection blow molding or extrusion blow molding.
The tank can be removable. The reservoir may in particular be a single-use reservoir. It can be single dose or not.
Composition
It is possible to use with the device at least one cosmetic or dermatological composition.
The composition (s) used may be in any form, for example in the form of an aqueous solution, an oil, an emulsion, a powder or a gel. The composition (s) used can be further sprayed on the skin.
When the composition (s) used is / are in the form of a gel, it can take the form of the electrode on which it is applied, as mentioned above.
The composition (s) may contain an active ingredient.
Advantageously, the composition is chosen from: a composition for the care of the face or the body, comprising in particular an active ingredient selected from moisturizing or moisturizing active ingredients, anti-aging active ingredients for example, depigmenting active agents, active agents acting on the microcirculation dermal or seboregulatory agents; - a makeup composition for the face or the body, - a hair composition, in particular a composition for washing the hair, the care or conditioning of the hair, the maintenance or the temporary shaping of the hair, the temporary coloring, semi permanent or permanent hair, straightening or perm, including a composition for straightening, coloring, discoloration of the roots and hair, a composition for the scalp, especially an anti-dandruff composition, fall arrest or regrowth of the hair, anti-seborrhea, anti-inflammatory, anti-irritation or soothing, anti-stain or for the stimulation or protection of the scalp.
The device can be used in various cosmetic or dermatological treatments, for example to fight against wrinkles, herpes, acne or redensifying skin or hair.
DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES The invention will be better understood on reading the following detailed description of nonlimiting exemplary embodiments of the invention and on examining the appended drawing, in which: FIGS. and 2 are schematic and partial views, in perspective, of a device according to the invention, - Figure 3 is a schematic and partial perspective view of the closure cap of the device of Figure 1 - the figures 4a and 4b are diagrammatic and partial views, in cross section, of the elastically deformable membrane, respectively in the first position and in the second position, and - Figure 5 is a schematic partial view, in perspective, of a variant. of realization.
FIGS. 1 to 3 show a device 1 according to the invention. It comprises a body 12 on which is mounted a nozzle 2 comprising six applicator members 6 each having a ball shape, and a reservoir 3 of composition housed inside the body 12, and shown in dashed lines. The tip 2 is fixed by snapping on the body 12. It could be mounted in another way. In the example considered, the body 12 is made of thermoplastic material. Alternatively, it can be made of any other material. In addition, the application members 6 are plastic balls. The application members 6 could have any other form, being for example rollers.
The application members 6, six in number in the example described, are arranged in a triangle, which makes it possible to promote the application and treatment of hard-to-reach areas, for example the wings of the nose.
The device 1 comprises an electrode 4 visible in dashed lines in FIG. 1, the electrode 4 being housed inside the tip 2, as well as a counter-electrode 5 disposed on the body 12. The counter electrode 5 is in contact with the hand of the user when it holds the device 1 in its hand, so that the electrical circuit between the electrode 4 and the counter-electrode 5 closes, the current flowing in the body of the user at the time of treatment. The polarization of the electrode 4 and that of the counter electrode 5 may be invertible (+ or -) depending on the nature of the composition used. The electrode 4 is connected to a pole of a power supply system 10 housed in the body 12 and communicates with the composition when the latter passes into a distributor 30, disposed under the application members 6 and visible in the figures 4a and 4b. The composition then passes on the application members 6 to reach the application surface, the skin in the example described, for the purpose of treatment. The counter-electrode 5 is connected to the other pole of the power supply system 10, which is powered by a battery (batteries or rechargeable battery).
To start the treatment, the user starts the device by means of a push-button 25. An electric current then begins to flow between the electrode 4 and the counter-electrode 5, when the device is applied to the device. face for example, at the same time as the composition is dispensed by a dispensing member 8 of the composition contained in the reservoir, in particular a pump, automatically or by action of the user on a control member 22.
In an alternative embodiment, the intensity of the current can be adjusted by the user through an adjusting member 26 of the current density between the electrodes, which is a rotary knob graduated in the example of Figure 1. S there is not enough composition between the electrode 4 and the skin, the impedance of the skin increases. The device includes a skin impedance responsive control system configured to detect such a variation in impedance. The device also includes an alarm 20 for providing the user with a signal based on information from the control system. In the example described, the alarm 20 provides a light signal. The user can then distribute an additional dose of composition by pressing the control member 22 of the composition distribution, which is a push button in the example of FIG.
We will now describe in more detail the structure of the nozzle 2, with reference to Figures 2 to 4b. The tip comprises firstly a closure cap 28, illustrated in isolation in FIG. 3, which is configured to be snap-fastened to the rest of the device, and more particularly to a cover 40 of the application members 6. The closure cap 28 has in its bottom reliefs 29 for setting of the application members 6. This closing cap is preferably not electrically conductive.
The cover 40 makes it possible to hold the application members 6 in place on a distributor 30. The cover 40 has openings through which the applicator members 6 protrude outwardly to allow the application of the composition. The cover 40 is extended by an upper ring 65 of the body 12. The tip comprises an intermediate storage chamber 100 for the composition which is at least partially defined by an elastically deformable wall. The wall of this intermediate chamber is defined by the distributor 30 and an elastically deformable membrane 50.
The elastically deformable membrane 50, illustrated in FIGS. 4a and 4b, is disk-shaped. It comprises a supply channel 52 of the composition in the intermediate chamber. This channel 52 can make it possible to drive the composition from the reservoir to the intermediate chamber.
The distributor 30 defining the intermediate chamber has feed ports 39 for conducting the composition from the intermediate chamber to the application members.
The maximum volume of the intermediate chamber 100 is for example of the order of 20 μL. A height h of the intermediate chamber 100 extends between the end positions of the elastically deformable membrane 50.
When a certain amount of composition is dispensed by the dispenser member from the reservoir, it moves in the device to reach the intermediate chamber 100, where it can be stored before being dispensed on the keratin materials by the organs d 'application. Under the pressure of the composition, the elastically deformable membrane moves to its second position, allowing the storage of the surplus composition. The application of composition by the application members can then continue, by using the surplus composition stored in the intermediate chamber, even if the distribution of composition by the dispenser member from the reservoir is effected with shots. Thus, one has a smoothing of the distribution of the composition on the keratin materials.
In the example just described, the application members 6 are arranged in a triangle, but it could be otherwise.
In the embodiment shown in Figure 5, the distributor 30 has feed holes 39 arranged in hexagon, the application members 6 being intended to be arranged also in hexagon.
